Frequently Asked Questions

How old do I need to be to apply?

18 or older

Do I need to have content creation experience to apply?

We recommend that applicants have some experience creating content. Being part of the incubator means contributing to other projects that are being developed. The purpose of the incubator is for you to gain experience working on your project while helping others create their projects.

Is there an application fee?

No.

What if I don’t have much experience?

If you are not as experienced a creator as you wish to be this is still the program for you.  We ask that you compensate for your lack of experience with your passion for creating and the joy you are to work with. Those two traits go a long way in this industry.

What is in the “Production Closet?”

The production closet has the basics for content creation: mics, lights, cameras, etc. The equipment has been used to create everything from video podcasts to feature-length movies. The "Production Closet" is also like a living organism. It evolves with every passing group. Once the group is formed, LAVARRO PRO will decide what else would need to be added to set up the group to win.

How much access would I have to LVPRO Studios?

Total 24/7. The group will be given thumbprint access to the studio which can be used in any way to create.  All activities should be approved by LaVarro PRO.  Let’s not go crazy and start running any illegal activity at the studio all activity should be pointed at content creation.  The group will come up with a way to schedule times in the studio so there isn’t a conflict in studio use.

I already have a team of people I create with; do I have to limit myself to creating with this group while in the incubator?

No, you can create with whoever you want. We encourage you to create with the incubator group, and share resources. The resources you share may be the team you create with, or not it’s your choice, but a lot of the value in the program comes from the team built in the incubator.

How much does the Do it Now Content incubator cost?

$1500

$1500!? Good lord that’s a lot of money, how bout I give $250, and I edit a couple of videos for you?

LOL you guys are funny, nice Chris Rock reference. Yes, $1500 is a lot of money. We are unable to barter at this time, but we do offer payment plans, so you won’t have to pay the whole amount up front if you don’t want to.  There is a lot of value in the program if you are an active participant. Access to the Studio and equipment for 6 weeks alone cost way more than $1500.  Do that math.  But just like anything in life the $1500 you spend on the program can be worth nothing if you don’t put the work in.  We promise to do our part. We will provide space, knowledge, and opportunity. You provide the creator… oh and the $1500.

This program sounds great, but I can’t do it right now when is the next one?

Umm…it’s literally called the DO IT NOW incubator; we are all about doing it now!  If you are unable to do it now, sign up on the website and we will send you updates on when and if the next session will begin.

I don’t live in New York, is there a way to participate virtually?

Not yet but a virtual offering is coming soon.

I live in New York, but I still would rather participate in the virtual incubator. Is that still possible?

I mean if you really want to, but a lot of the benefits of the program involve you coming out of the house and being with people.

I love it, but I can’t commit to being present for the full 6 weeks, is that okay?

Attendance in this program is much like school. If you come, you will get everything you need to prepare for the test. If you don’t you won’t.  The test in this case is your future in content creation. We encourage you to come to every session, so you can get the most out of it, and so your fellow creators can get the most out of you. Of course, life happens, and you are not expected to delay your child’s birth to make it to a session, but if you can be here be here. We also encourage you to not sign up if you know ahead of time in your heart you won’t be able to give your attention to your team.

What kind of project can I create?

Anything! It doesn’t matter. This program is designed for creating all kinds of content. If you can see and or hear it, it can be created in this program.

What if my project doesn’t need 6 weeks or 5 other people?

During the program you won’t only be working on your project, you will also be working on the projects within your team. If you think you can finish your project in 2 weeks by yourself. That may not be the project you want to bring to this incubator. This program is designed for people who have big ideas for projects that they believe they cannot complete on their own.

What if I don’t have a project that I want to work on but I still want to learn content creation?

That is okay. Bring any idea you have about what you might want to create, and together we will come up with a project that you can be passionate about. Having a project you are passionate about to work on through this process is ideal. You want to leave the program with something tangible and it will give you the confidence that comes with completion.

Why should we listen to LaVarro?  All this information Is on YouTube.

Yeah, a lot of what you would learn in this program is on the Internet. Truth be told, most of the information in the world is on the internet. This program though is more than information.  This curated program will provide you with a team of like-minded individuals ready to create. You are provided with the equipment needed to create and you are provided with LaVarro. LaVarro has been creating content professionals in many different areas for over a decade. He is a former adjunct professor at Long Island University, and he is passionate about creating and passionate about you creating at a high level he wants you to “Do It Now” and he has made this section a little long because he likes talking about himself in 3rd person… oh and he’s also humorous.

What if I go through this program and I don’t like how my project came out?  Will I get a refund?

No. If you are unhappy with your project, that is unfortunate, it really is. But at the end of the day, it is your project. If you are unhappy, with it you are free to keep working on it until you are happy. You will always be a part of the LVPRO “Do It Now” community. You can also take what you have learned about what made you unhappy about this project and pour it into your next project.

What happens at the end of the incubator?

The incubator ends with screenings of your final project.  Invite your family and friends to see what you have created. After the screening, you still have access to your teammates from your group to keep creating together. If you need equipment, you are still able to rent equipment or studio space from LVPRO at a discounted rate. If you need guidance from LaVarro, his number will still be the same. Unless he has gone full Hollywood. In that case try to get in contact with his secretaries, secretary, and she will put you through.
